Now I have proof. A few days ago National Public Radio ran a story called Technolgy and Porn, or something like that. (Yes, I listen to NPR from time to time. Just because I am a perv doesn’t mean that I can’t exhibit some class from time to time.) They talked about the crisis in the adult entertainment industry. It seems that DVD sales have fallen over the past year as more and more people realize that it is easier – and more discreet – to find porn online. They also noted that today’s big porn producers are suffering a bit because (my words here) the wham-bam-thank-you-ma’am variety of sex is available everywhere. So the big production companies are now starting to produce bigger budget movies, with story lines, people who can act (to a degree) and better production values. Hmmm…. could it be that we are about to see a second golden age of porn? Let’s face it, movies with budgets, stories and production values sound a lot like the things we feature around here. Congratulations for being ahead of the curve.
