John Derek was a fairly successful actor way back in the 40′s, 50′s and 60′s. He had a significant role in the Oscar-winning, All The King’s Men and did a TV series in the early 60′s, as well as appearances in a few dozen other movies and TV shows. Later he was a successful photographer and director.

In my mind, he will be forever remembered for two things beyond his acting career.
